Before the makeup

Before applying permanent makeup on lips, you need to reduce exposure as much as possible to avoid sunburn as the makeup procedure cannot be properly done if your face becomes sunburned. In addition to that, you need to avoid some medicines such as ibuprofen 24, vitamin E, and aspirin one day before the execution of this procedure.

Besides, laser hair reduction cannot be done within two weeks before the microblading process. Furthermore, if you need the best results, avoid using acne creams, peels, and retinol around your eyebrows and on your forehead for 2 to 3 months before treatment as it can make your skin sensitive.

During the makeup

At the time of applying permanent makeup, you cannot drink caffeine or alcohol. Additionally, do not scratch or rub the treated area of your lips as such activities can lead to pigment loss.

After the makeup

When the procedure of permanent makeup on lips gets completed, the healing procedure takes around 10 days. Within this period, lips look dry and chapped as the healing procedure is going on. With the progress of healing, the color will become lighter but after that, it will come back. Within this period, it is better to avoid rigorous exercise activities for a minimum of 24 hours. Further, you need to avoid exposing this area to excessive humidity or moisture (steam, saunas, swimming, facials, and others). Additionally, till this area of your skin gets completely healed, you need to avoid touching it. Further, it is better to avoid direct sun exposure for 3-4 weeks after completion of this process.
