Notably, its 3D Spectrum material features dimensional texture, color-shifting effects, and engraving options for creative applications.

What is 3D Spectrum?

3d spectrum vinyl is a heat transfer material made from PP, offering a plush, volume-rich look with a dynamic spectrum effect that changes color with viewing angle, enhancing the visual appeal of printed and decorated surfaces.

3D Spectrum, with a thickness of 140 μm, offers a distinctive finish that is both soft and decorative, ensuring durability with a wash-resistance rating of up to 50 washes. Supplied in a 50 cm × 25 m roll, it is ideal for creative projects and regular production needs.

How 3D Spectrum Helps:

  • Creates a 3D appearance by adding a plush, raised, and volume-rich finish to designs.
  • Produces color-shifting effects based on the viewing angle, altering the surface’s visual color.
  • Supports various creative engraving techniques that yield visually appealing effects.
  • Sublimation transfer is effective for producing extra visual effects and achieving a PUFF-like finish.
  • Designed for excellent wash resistance, this product can endure up to 50 washes when applied correctly.
  • Works with plotter cutting using suitable cutting plotters, such as the Graphtec CE6000-60.
  • Supports apparel customization by enabling distinctive designs on garments and other compatible textile applications.

Sublimation Transfer and PUFF Effect:

3D Spectrum enhances visual effects through sublimation transfer, which involves pressing the material twice at 180–200°C. The first press, lasting 2–3 seconds, secures the hot melt, while the second press with sublimation paper lasts about 30 seconds to finalize the transfer and achieve the PUFF effect.

Cutting and Transfer Applications:

The Graphtec CE6000-60 cutting settings include a force of 20, a blade angle of 45°, and a cutting speed of 30 cm/sec, which are initial recommendations that may need adjustment based on specific conditions. The 3D Spectrum material, characterized by its dimensional texture and spectrum color effect, is suitable for creating vibrant heat transfer designs and enhances the visual appeal of apparel and textile projects.
